Underground contractor kicks off new project
Sahuaro Underground has been contracted by Trillium to install all of the underground wet utilities for “Trillium North”. This is an apartment complex located at 7th St. & Beardsley in Phoenix. There will be a total of 25 buildings that will hold about 212 apartments. The project is scheduled to begin as soon as permits can be released, hopefully within the next couple of weeks (8/7-15/2011). For Sahuaro Contracting this project will entail the installation of the underground sewer, domestic water, firelines and storm drain piping. Sahuaro has completed other projects for Trillium with good success and is continuing to develop good working relations there. We look forward to another successful project with them.
Arizona Underground Utility Company Moving Forward
Recently Sahuaro Contracting has partnered up with Nesbitt Contracting on a three phase project at the Chandler Airport. This project involves the construction of some new roads including, a new loop road connecting Cooper Road to Airport Blvd. Sahuaro was contracted by Nesbitt (the General Contractor) to install all the underground water and sewer under these new roads. Because of the disruption to the Airport the schedule was quite challenging. The need to be done as quick as possible required that all three phases be done at the same time. There were also several changes made actually saving the City of Chandler money. These changes together with the tight schedule required a lot of communication and working together with the City and Nesbitt Contracting to make decisions quickly so the work could progress and not impact the schedule. Sahuaro Contracting is happy to say that the project has been a success. We feel that our efforts as the underground contractor, have continued to strengthen our relationship with the City of Chandler and Nesbitt Contracting. Sahuaro Contracting is continuing to prove that when good people get together, great things can be accomplished. We are proud to have been a part of it.
